According to all the bridal magazines, I am waaaaaaaay behind schedule in my wedding planning.
Not only will I need at least 16 months to prepare the ceremony/reception/whatnot, but I should have been dreaming of this special day since...roughly...age 5. And thinking of myself as a pretty princess probably wouldn't hurt either.

Hmmm it is not working for me very well. I'm an old man fits better. :)
when hubby and i were in the early planning stages, we printed out the list from theknot.com. it had like a million steps. one of the first steps was "visualize your wedding". hubby did that for nine months. meanwhile, i planned a perfect imperfect day. don't stress. use the martha list, it's much easier to handle, and just do what you want. it'll be perfect, because it will be yours.
Jeez, I take a few days off and look what happens!
